Welcome to the River Journal

We couldn’t be more excited about this place. 5 acres along the North River with beautiful large mature trees. The only neighbors are our local farmers. Welcome to the River Journal, our place to share ideas for slower stays, time outdoors and gathering with the people who matter.

Camp North River is taking shape in Paw Paw, West Virginia, with an opening planned for Spring 2027. We have officially broken ground in Septmember 2026. The well has been installed and the bath house is the next building to get started. We are starting with six elevated glamping domes with future expansion to have 12 domes, each designed for up to six guests each, with private hot tubs, fire pits and grills.

Included with your stay is a private bathroom, camp store, a dock along the river with kayaks available, a pavillion to gather along the water, a playground area for kids and tons of local activities. Interested in wellness therapies? A sauna and cold plunge will be available to rent.

Here, we’ll share inspiration for wellness weekends, bachelorette getaways, group trips and exploring the area. Whether you’re imagining a peaceful escape for two or a few days with friends, this journal will help you start planning.
